It is a lactonic gourmand with a surprising lavender note up top. While it is synthetic, it is not cloying/syrupy/plastic-y/unpleasant.

Cloud opens with the aforementioned lavender note, giving way to juicy pear, reminiscent of noughties-era floral-fruities. There is a sweet berry note up top too.

What Does Cloud 2.0 Smell Like?

Cloud 2.0 is an Eau De Parfum Intense fragrance meaning it should contain a super strong concentration of oils. Intense fragrances promise a luxuriously rich, long-lasting scent for the ultimate sensorial experience.

There's less of the brighter opening (lavender + bergamot) and more of the cashmere, praline, and now ambroxan in the drydown. Ambroxan is a modern synthetic compound with a dry amber musky smell and Cashmere is a popular synthetic accord with a soft diffusive warm woody musky amber scent, reminiscent of cashmere wool. These two additions help to make the scent a little bit more masculine than the original Cloud.

Who & Where It's For?

This flanker has a lot more of the depth and creaminess that isn't as present in the original, so it's better suited for evening wear or a more mature audience. because it IS a little deeper, it doesn't project as far, but it still has the same great lasting power. It's comforting and delicious, an enjoyable scent to those who like sweet and warm vanilla amber fragrances.

This perfume is definitely an elevated version of the original one - not saying "improved", but rather enhanced with additional sweetness, depth, creaminess. It's got more warmth, more of an autumn/winter fragrance. It's not 'airy' like Cloud, it's a heavier fragrance. The drydown becomes sweeter the longer it's on the skin, and it's still there 9 hrs later although not as strong sillage wise as at 5 to 6 hrs of wear.

Cloud intense suits better colder time and Cloud would work for you on warmer days.
