1. Design and Style

One of the biggest differences of the four clog models in design is  the ventilation holes. Although all of the four styles have ventilation holes on top, the Baya Crocs have “CROCS” engraved on the sides of the toe cap with small holes for ventilation. This feature is lacking in the Classic Crocs. The Classic Clog has larger holes for ventilation on the toe caps, but the carved name is missing. Plus, Baya seems to have a wider toe box than Classic. Crocs Classic lifts your heel off the ground higher than Crocs Baya. People with flat feet or fallen arch may find Crocs Classic non-conducive for their arch.

The Crocs Crocband Clogs have a sportier design, which includes a bold midsole strip that the Crocs Classic Clogs do not have. But the Crocs Crocband clogs do not have side ventilation holes. There are two ways of looking at this. Because the Crocs Classics has the extra ventilation holes, they are better at releasing water and debris, and also have better overall airflow. But one drawback about the side ventilation holes is they actually do allow debric (like small rocks) an opportunity to slip inside the clog. As for the Crocs Platform clogs, they offers both Baya and Classic style, depends on your choice.  These shoes are said to have all the comfort and durability of the original, but with a 1.6-inch sole, so they're perfect for anyone who needs a little lift.

2. Comfort and Fit

All the four models offer superior cushioning and comfort. The Croslite foam material is lightweight, flexible, and provides plenty of cushioning for long days on your feet. Crocs Classic has thicker heel than Crocs Baya which makes it cushier. It also has higher arch support than Crocs Baya. However, the Baya Crocs also come with a contour on the sides of the shoes that are clearly not present on the Classic Clogs. The contour will add extra support to your feet.

Crocs Crocband clogs have that relaxed toe box which gives the clog a casual, comfortable fit. The length of the Crocs Crocband clogs to be true to size and pretty consistent when compared to other popular shoes.

3. Sizing

All types of Crocs have a wide fit design. But, it is important to note that Crocs are offered in two main types of fits: Roomy Fit and Relaxed Fit. Both Crocs Classic and Baya have what Crocs calls a “roomy” fit, which is their roomiest, widest toe box. However,  Crocs Baya is a bit lengthier and wider than Crocs Classic. With the contour at the sides of the clog, the Crocs Baya offers more fitting than Crocs Classic.

Crocband clogs have what Crocs calls a “relaxed” fit, which means it isn’t as wide as other types of Crocs. But to be clear, don’t expect a narrow fit. It still has extra space in the toe box area compared to many other types of shoes, although this isn’t the widest fit that Crocs offers.

4. Weight

Although both  Baya Crocs and Classic Crocs have the same weight of 0.43lbs (195g), Crocs Baya feels more lightweight on your feet compared to Crocs Classic. If you wear a Baya Croc on one foot and a Classic Croc on the other, you can feel the difference between the two. I think that as one of the advantages that Baya has over the Crocs Classic. The Crocband Crocs is heaviest among the three styles, weights 0.60lbs.

5. Breathability

If you see the Baya Crocs and the Classic Crocs carefully, you will notice that both of them have holes on top of them as well as on the sides. So both offer reasonable breathability and ensures that enough air get around your feet. But there is a little difference for the side ports for ventilation. The Baya Crocs have “CROCS” engraved on the sides of the toe cap with small holes for ventilation. The Classic Clog has larger holes for ventilation on the toe caps. With the arrangement of the holes in Crocs Baya and the custom of opening a base of the foot, the clog offers additional ventilation to your feet compared to Crocs Classic.

The Crocs Crocband clogs don’t have quite as many ventilation holes as the Crocs Classic and Baya clogs, they won’t be quite as breathable and won’t be able to release debris and water as quickly.

6. Durability

Crocs Classic, Crocs Baya, Crocs Platform and Crocs Crocband are all made from Croslite foam, so they are both extremely durable and long-lasting. However, the Baya model is slightly more durable due to its reinforced toe guard and adjustable strap closure. But the Baya Crocs require more maintenance than other models too to ensure optimal performance.

7. Cost

The Crocs Classic Clog is the cheapest styles, Crocs Baya and Crocs Crocband due to its added features are more  expensive than Crocs Classic. With elevated wedge platform heel,  the Crocs Platform Clog is most expensive style  among the four.

Conclusion

Crocs Classic vs. Baya vs. Platform vs. Crocband: Which Style is Best for You?

The Crocs Classic is the traditional clogs with a higher back and more supportive foot bed. It is a great choice for those who need a little extra support or who are on their feet for extended periods of time. But people with flat feet or fallen arch may find Crocs Classic non-conducive for their arch.

Crocs Baya Clog is a twist on the signature Classic Clog, it features the lightweight, durable build you love with advanced ventilation for breathability. Plus, the arch support of  the Baya Crocs  is lower than the Classic Clogs. If you have flat feet, you should choose Baya Crocs to avoid getting a painful dent on the bottom of your feet. The Baya style is also more versatile than the Classic style, making it a great choice for a wide variety of looks.

The Crocs Crocband is similar to Crocs Classic, but with colorful, sportier design which makes it ideal for walking, running, and other activities. Crocs Platform are just like classic clogs but with elevated wedge platform heel, so they're perfect for anyone who needs a little lift.  Ultimately, the choice comes down to personal preference.
