Nest Thermostat Review
TenTen years ago, Nest introduced its first smart thermostat, the Nest Learning Thermostat, and showed the world what a smart thermostat is capable of. The Nest Thermostat is the first of the company's thermostats that doesn't work with the Nest app (the original app that still houses some legacy products, including the Nest Learning Thermostat). Instead, this model can only be set up and controlled in the Google Home app.
Google got rid of the turn dial on the new Nest Thermostat. Instead there's a touch control strip on the right side for adjusting the temperature and making other changes to your settings. This model is made of plastic and features a mirrored finish, as well as different color options than the Learning Thermostat. It's available in snow (white), sand (rose gold), fog (light greenish/blueish-gray) and charcoal (dark gray).
Nest Thermostat is an excellent affordable smart thermostat. Its design has a premium feel, it's easy to set up and use -- and it works well, both when using the new side controls at the thermostat itself, via the Google Home app or with a compatible smart speaker or display.

Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation Review
The Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation is the latest invention by Google in the world of smart thermostats. The third version of this Google-owned thermostat has a larger and sharper display than its predecessor. Like before, the Nest Learning Thermostat learns your behavior over time, so it can automatically change the temperature when someone comes home.
Unlike other smart thermostats, the Nest 3rd generation asks you to turn the temperature up and down as you wish and it does the rest. You will not only save time and energy but will also enjoy unmatched convenience.
A Home/Away setting detects movement around the home. And whenever there is no movement detected around the home, the thermostat automatically turns on the Eco setting to save your energy.
Plus, it comes in a variety of finishes, including Brass, Polished Steel, Copper, and White, so it can more easily fit in with your home decor. This thermostat combines the best of the past with the future, and is one of the best smart thermostats that's Google Home compatible.

Nest Thermostat E Review
Thermostat E, is a more affordable version of the Nest 3rd Generation. It offers a limited interface and a stripped-down design. It’s still a great-looking device, though, and a fine choice for price-conscious Nest enthusiasts. It's easier to set up than the pricier Nest Learning Thermostat, but still has many of the same features. However, the Nest Thermostat E doesn't support as many HVAC systems, nor does it support such features as two-stage heating and cooling.
The Nest Thermostat E has the same shape as the Nest Learning Thermostat, but instead of metal, it's made from plastic. Additionally, the Nest Thermostat E only comes in white. If you're looking for something a bit less expensive than Nest's premium thermostat, the Nest E is one to consider.
