Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom Thrill Rides & Roller Coasters List

There are several adrenaline rushing roller coasters and rides which make your head spin, heart throb and hair stand straight up. You will go upside down, backwards, vertical and sideways.

Steel Force is the longest steel roller coaster on the East Coast and is the ninth longest steel coaster in the world.  Its towering first drop stands at 205-feet-tall, with riders hitting a maximum speed of 75 miles per hour at the bottom. The remainder of the circuit features several "airtime" hills and a large helix.

Hydra is the first and only floorless roller coaster in Pennsylvania with a unique twist that flips you upside-down as the train exits the station. Because it is a floorless coaster, the legs of Hydra’s passengers dangle as the trains navigate the steel ride's many inversions.

Talon is the longest and tallest inverted coaster in the northeast includes: a vertical loop, a zero-gravity roll, an Immelmann loop and a corkscrew. Like other rides of its type, it sees riders being suspended below the track, enabling them to see the ground rush beneath their feet.

Possessed - Formerly known as Voodoo, this coaster features 704 feet of twisted steel and dual towers. . It uses electro-magnetic motors to launch its train forwards and backwards along a U-shaped track and up two 185-foot spikes at 90-degrees.

ThunderHawk is Dorney Park’s classic wooden coaster. The figure-eight ride dates back to 1923. It  features a large number of "airtime" hills, making it popular with enthusiasts.

Dominator consists of two separate rides which are supported by a single 200-foot tower. The first is a Space Shot, which launches riders upwards at a maximum speed of 50 miles per hour. The second is a Turbo Drop, on which riders are carried to the top of the tower before plunging to the bottom at faster-than-freefall speeds.

Demon Drop simulates a free fall from a 10 story building. Cars (that hold 4 people)travel to the top of the tower in six seconds. Riders are suspended briefly, then free-fall 60 feet in less than two seconds, reaching 50 mph before coming to a stop on the pull-out curve.

Revolution is a gyro swing-style ride. It swings you and 31 other riders an astounding 65 feet in the air— 6 stories high! You’ll be flung 120 degrees in both directions, all while the eight-armed ring of seats constantly rotates.

Meteor is a classic flat ride. It starts off slow, swinging riders back and forth on the swinging pendulums, until it propels you into the sky with your feet dangling through 360-degree loops.

White Water Landing is a classic "shoot-the-chutes" water ride. Guests board large boats which are carried to the top of an 80-foot drop, before being thoroughly drenched when it reaches the bottom.

For the tots, Planet Snoopy offers many of the kiddie rides including Charlie Brown's Wind-Up, Peanuts Road Rally, Linus Launcher, the Snoopy’s Junction train and more.

In addition, Planet Snoopy also offers a good selection of shows (which change each season). Kids will enjoy meeting the Peanuts characters, including Snoopy.

Young kids are not limited to just fun in Planet Snoopy either. You can share the experience of family rides with your kids on classic rides like the Antique Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Cedar Creek Flyers, and the Whip.

Needing to cool off during the summer heat? Then checkout Wildwater Kingdom water park which is to the right of the park entrance, and it is included in the standard park fee.

For thrill seekers,  Lightning Falls, Cascade, Speed Slides, Python Plumme are highly recommended.

Besides, Lollipop Lagoon and Island Water Works feature mild water attractions for the younger set and the kids will love getting a "car wash" at Kids Cove.
