Plus, the front-facing camera also allows your child to take, save and send picture and video messages to you and their trusted contacts. The GizmoWatch 2 and the Disney Edition only let parents approve up to 10 phone numbers, including the primary guardian, for children to text and call. The number of trusted contacts—ones approved by the parents—is doubled to 20 on the Gizmo Watch 3. This way you can add siblings, parents, caregivers, and even grandparents or cousins as folks to call from the watch itself.
On the Gizmo Watch 3 and Disney Edition, kids can activate an SOS button by pressing and holding for five seconds, while there's no SOS button on the GizmoWatch 2. The physical SOS button is a great feature to allow kids fast access to calling their emergency contact without swiping through a different of screens. You can set up only one contact as the designated emergency number.

More safe zones to set: GPS tracking and monitoring are among the top reasons parents get the GizmoWatch for their kids. With the Gizmo Watch 3, parents can set up more than one safe zone and get a notification when their child goes from one place to another, such as going from school to a friend’s house.
Location history: The Gizmo Watch 3 generates a location history report on the parent app.
Vibration alerts: In addition to silent mode, the watch can be set to vibrate when receiving messages or calls.
All the apps: Some apps didn't overlap on the Disney Edition and GizmoWatch 2, like an alarm or weather app. They're all available on the Gizmo Watch 3.
Water Resistance
The GizmoWatch 2 and Disney Edition are rated IP67 which means both of them should survive if accidentally dunked into water less than 3 feet deep.
The Gizmo Watch 3 is rated IP68, the higher rating means it could be dropped into a pool almost 10 feet deep and still work. So The Gizmo Watch are more suitable for active youngsters who love swimming or playing outdoors.

Bottom Line
Gizmo Watch 2 vs. GizmoWatch Disney Edition vs. Gizmo Watch 3: Which One Should You Choose?
For parents who are looking for smartwatches that provide safety features, the Gizmo Watch 2, the GizmoWatch Disney Edition and the Gizmo Watch 3 are all good options. All the three smartwatches offer two-way calling and messaging options , as well as parental controls for setting boundaries. Ultimately, the choice between the three will depend on your kid's specific needs and preferences.
The GizmoWatch 2 is the most affordable option in Verizon's lineup. The core GizmoWatch functions remain, such as safe calling, GPS tracking etc. But There's no camera and SOS button. If you want a good GPS tracker and communication device but are limited budget, you can choose GizmoWatch 2 to save your money.
With no doubt that the GizmoWatch Disney Edition is better than the GizmoWatch 2 because of the extra features like front camera and SOS button. In addition, this smartwatch features animated characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars™, creating an interactive user experience. However, the GizmoWatch Disney Edition is even expensive than the new GizmoWatch 3, making it less cost-effective. Unless you are a frozen fan of Disney animation, I do not recommend buying this smartwatches.
The Verizon’s GizmoWatch 3 is the latest device in its kids’ smartwatch lineup. Not only is it priced lower than the the GizmoWatch Disney Edition, but also offers several improvements. Verizon seems to have combined the best features of the other two GizmoWatches and sprinkled in a few extras. I strongly recommend the GizmoWatch 3 to everyone.
