Highlighted Ingredients:

-Japanese Wild Rose: Supports natural circulation, balances skin, and improves the look of pores.

-Japanese Leopard Lily: Reduces oil production, calms problem skin, and supports natural turnover of the skin.

-Tatcha's Signature Hadasei-3: Restores a healthy-looking, youthful radiance with nourishing green tea, rice, and algae.

Detail: The Water Cream provides nutrient-rich, balanced hydration with the unique water-burst that breaks upon application to deliver nourishment without leaving skin sticky or greasy. It clarifies and refines skin with pure, powerful Japanese botanicals: Japanese wild rose visibly tightens pores and smooths skin texture; Japanese leopard lily helps control excess oil and purify skin by supporting natural skin turnover; and hadasei-3—an anti-aging trinity of green tea, rice, and algae—restores healthy-looking radiance.

Skin type: Ideal for those who have combination to oily or acne-prone skin.

Texture & Fragrance: The Tatcha Water Cream is lightweight with a gel-like consistency that absorbs almost instantly. There is no heavy or sticky residue and once the cream is absorbed, the skin feels comfortable. It does have a subtle, fresh floral fragrance that is very light and not overpowering.

Review: Tatcha's The Water Cream is a must-have moisturizer for anyone with oily skin. There is a freshness you feel upon applying The Water Cream, almost like a cooling sensation in a way. While $69 can be on the pricier side for a moisturizer, using the suggested amount of this product helps you to realize a little can go a long way. An efficient product that targets pore size and anti-aging concerns, this cream is well worth the price for the results you'll experience.

Highlighted Ingredients:

- Japanese Purple Rice: Packed with nutrients and known for its ability to survive any harsh environment, it has long been used to celebrate longevity and vitality; rich in anthocyanin, a strong antioxidant, it helps skin recover from and protect against stress, pollution, and UV damage for healthier-looking skin.

- Okinawa Algae Blend and Hyaluronic Acid: Captures water to help replenish skin's natural moisture reservoir, immediately leaving skin soft, comforted, and deeply nourished; helps to replenish ceramides to ensure optimum skin barrier function, aiding in the reduction of future moisture loss, for skin that is visibly smooth and plump with hydration.

- Botanical Extracts: From ginseng, wild thyme, and sweet marjoram; nourishes skin, enhancing its natural ability to retain and release moisture as needed, and imparts a dewy glow.

Detail: Give skin a dewy, healthy glow with the help of Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream, a rich, moisturising cream that works to plump and hydrate the skin. A blend of botanical extracts and oil work to nourish and moisturise the skin while enhancing its ability to retain and release moisture as necessary. Formulated win a special blend of hyaluronic acid and Okinawa algae, this moisturising cream works to hydrate and plump the skin. It also contains antioxidant-rich Japanese purple rice, which helps to protect skin against stress and pollution.

Skin type: Ideal for dry skin and those with combination skin who prefer a moisturiser with a rich texture.

Texture & Fragrance: The consistency of this cream is a thicker balmy texture but it doesn't feel at all heavy or greasy with a very subtle and light natural fragrance. The fragrance is not added but naturally derived from the combination of natural ingredients.

Review: The balmy texture sits on top of the skin and is ideal for makeup application as it helps the foundation glide on the skin and blend into the skin easier. Although there are less expensive moisturizers on the market, Tatcha's Dewy Skin Cream is worth the price for all of its skincare benefits in one jar. You're not just getting hydration but also protection from pollution, as well as all those ingredients that promote healthier and stronger skin.

| TATCHA The Silk Cream

($135/50ml, up to 4% cashback at QVC)

Highlighted Ingredients:

-Advanced Silk Extract (Serecin and Fibroin Proteins): Acts as a protective veil of hydration like a second skin, holding in essential moisture and strengthening the skin’s barrier function without weighing it down or clogging pores—revealing a lustrous glow.

-Akoya Pearl Extract: Helps support the natural metabolism of collagen and elastin to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles for visibly smoother, firmer skin.

-Tatcha's Signature Hadasei-3: Restores a healthy-looking, youthful radiance with nourishing green tea, rice, and algae.

Detail: Richly hydrate the skin with Tatcha The Silk Cream, a moisturising cream that helps to leave the skin looking more supple and provides protection against the yellowing or browning that comes with age. Formulated with a complete liquid silk protein, this rich, moisturising cream works to form a light, moisture-binding veil over the skin. It also contains Hadesai-3, a proprietary fermented complex of rice, algae and green tea that works to restore a healthy-looking glow, while Akoya pearl extract works to leave skin looking firmer.

Skin type: Ideal for all skin types, including the most sensitive skin and acne-prone skin.

Texture & Fragrance: Water based moisturizer is hydrating but still quite lightweight, and never feels sticky or greasy. The texture of this moisturizer is kind of like a semi-opaque white pudding that hasn't set yet; or a nice even mix of gel and cream. There's a nice smell to it....like going to a spa.

Review: It's ideal for treating dryness, loss of elasticity and fine lines, and dullness if you're experiencing sallow skin. The additional benefits include anti-acne benefits, decrease in the appearance of pore size, and it seems even more hydrating than the water cream. Recommend this for all age groups seeking a great go-to daily cream that is extremely hydrating but also feels highly breathable on the skin.

| Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair

($88/50ml, up to 4% cashback at Sephora)

Highlighted Ingredients:

- Japanese Indigo Extract: Visibly soothes and restores irritated skin from redness to dry patches.

- Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides: Hydrate and lock in moisture to help strengthen skin barrier.

- Mondo Grass Root: Balances skin's microbiome for healthy-looking, radiant skin.

Detail: Balance the skin's microbiome for stronger, healthier skin with the help of Tatcha The Indigo Cream, a moisturizer that works to calm irritation, redness and dry patches. Fragrance-free, it also works to strengthen the skin's barrier and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Formulated with Japanese indigo extract, this serum works to soothe and calm skin. It contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin and ceramides to help the skin retain moisture. In addition, Mondo grass root works to balance the skin's microbiome.

Skin type: Ideal for sensitive or dry to mature skin.

Texture & Fragrance: The brand calls it a Serum in Cream Treatment, and that description is spot-on. It has a luscious yet light texture that melts into a silky-smooth serum upon application. It leaves your skin cocooned with moisture and feels instantly soothing. Fragrance-free.

Review: As the name would suggest, the cream is specially designed for overnight use, but it's not a hard and fast rule. Tsai says that the product is engineered for nighttime because it works at the cortisol level, which dips at night while sleeping—that's part of why it's so immediately effective. At $88 a jar, it's a bit of a splurge, but for the cost of an essence, moisturizer, and cream in one, it could be worse.

  • The Conclusion

The most expensive is The Silk Cream,  but we can't deny that it's brilliant. It does exactly what it says on the tin and makes tight skin feel as soft as silk. It's a great option for those with oily and combination skin. It is slightly fragranced, though, so bear that in mind if you're not keen on scented products.

Then if you're into dewy, glassy skin trends, The Dewy Skin Cream is perfect! Not only does it make skin feel incredible (soft, hydrated and smooth) but it makes it gleam.

But if you have oily or combination skin that's prone to breaking out, you'll like The Water Cream. The Dewy Skin Cream and The Silk Cream leave behind a little bit of a glow but this one's a bit more matte if you don't like being shiny throughout the day.

If you have sensitive skin or want to soothe and restore irritated skin overnight, you'll like the Indigo Overnight Repair that works to calm irritation, redness and dry patches. Fragrance-free, it also works to strengthen the skin's barrier and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
