Steam Deck vs. Switch vs. Aya Neo vs. OneXPlayer: CPU
Steam Deck
The Steam Deck includes a custom accelerated processing unit (APU) built by AMD based on their Zen 2 and RDNA 2 architectures, named Aerith, after the Final Fantasy VII character Aerith Gainsborough. APUs contain both a central processing unit and a graphics processing unit, suitable for mobile devices like slim or ultra-slim laptops. However, the downside to APUs is the lack of dedicated processing from a discrete GPU.
Steam Deck’s CPU runs with four cores and eight threads at a base clock speed of 2.4 GHz and a max of 3.5GHz. A close equivalent to the APU is an AMD Ryzen 5 4680U, though it has two fewer cores.
Nintendo Switch
According to details originally provided by Digital Foundry and caught by Eurogamer.net, the Nintendo Switch is based on Nvidia Tegra X1 chipset, just like the Shield Android TV box, which means that it will be powered by a 256-core GM20B Maxwell GPU and octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores.
Aya Neo
AYANEO is strongly driven by the new generation AMD Ryzen R5 4500U processor, with a6-core central processing unit with a maximum boost frequency of 4.0GHz; a 6-core graph-ics processor with maximum boost frequency of up to 1.5 GHz.Compared with the previousgeneration 350OU, single-threaded computing performance is increased by about 22%, andmulti-threaded computing performance is increased by about 50%. Overall gaming experi-ence is corresponding better. It has wonderful driver compatibility, allowing any new and old game to be playable immediately.
AYANEO 2021 Pro is upgraded to AMD Ryzen R7 4800U processor, with advanced 7nm technology, bringing improved gaming experi-ence, and becoming an indispensable part of your gaming journey.
