Another draws about Disney+ is the monstrous movie catalog that goes as far back as the 1930s, with classics like Robin Hood or Cinderella as well as some of the modern remakes Disney's produced over the last two decades. It is also worthing mentioned that Disney has poured a lot of money into creating original content for the service, that streams exclusively on it. Here are some of the more notable shows that have landed recently, or are set to come out in 2024: Turning Red, Encanto, The Mandalorian, WandaVision, Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, The Book of Boba Fett, Moon Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ms. Marvel.

DisneyNOW

DisneyNOW Launched on September 29, 2017 which  compiles shows from three different Disney networks: The Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior. As the name suggests, Disney Junior focuses on content for kids five-years-old and younger, like "Doc McStuffins" and "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse." The Disney Channel is home to original series like "Big City Greens" and "Raven's Home." Disney XD has adventure series like "DuckTales" and action shows based on Marvel superheroes like "Big Hero 6." The DisneyNow app also features a set of simple, kid-friendly video games based on Disney channel shows.

DisneyNow has a selection of shows available to watch for free with ads. But it requires a cable login in order to make the most of the app, with most shows locked behind a paywall. That said, to unlock all of the service's content and gain access to live streaming support for Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior, you need to have an existing pay-TV plan with access to those channels. There’s no way to pay for DisneyNow on its own to unlock every episode in the app. You can find a full list of supported pay-TV cable and satellite providers on the DisneyNow website.

Subscription Plans:

DisneyNow is ad-supported via sponsorships, traditional or interactive TV commercials and sweepstakes, as there's no subscription fee to use it. But you can unlock more entertainment with a pay-TV provider account. DisneyNow does not have a standalone subscription option, so a pay-TV account is the only way to unlock the service's full library of shows and movies.

Disney+ Hotstar

Disney Plus Hotstar is a collaboration between Disney and Star India’s existing Hotstar streaming service. In 2018, the Walt Disney Company bought out 21st Century Fox in a $71 billion acquisition. This made Star India — owners of Hotstar — a part of the Walt Disney group. Now, Disney+ Hotstar has become one of India’s’s largest premium video streaming platform of 2024. With content in 8 languages, spanning 15 TV channels, Disney+ Hotstar is home to some of the longest running, and highest rated TV content in the India.

Disney Plus vs. Disney Bundle: What's the Difference?

Disney+ is the home for movies and series from Disney and Pixar, everything in the Marvel Universe, and the Star Wars franchise. There are exclusive new programs from National Geographic and all 32 seasons of The Simpsons, too.

With the Disney bundle, you are getting three streaming services — Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+. Hulu has thousands of shows and movies, including Hulu Originals, complete seasons, blockbuster and award-winning films, adult animation, and more.ESPN+ has live sports and exclusive originals, you can find thousands of live events and archives from the UFC, NHL, international soccer, PGA TOUR LIVE, college sports, and more. Plus, get the complete 30 for 30 library, daily studio shows, premium articles and fantasy tools, and ESPN+ Originals from the biggest names in sports.

VerdictIf you  like watch sports content and additional movies and TV shows from non-Disney sources,  the Disney Bundle is worthing of price. The bundle currently saves you $8 a month compared to signing up for all three services without the package. So I highly recommended you to subscribe  Disney  bundle rather Disney+.

Disney Plus vs. DisneyNOW: What's the Difference?

The two main difference bewteen Disney Plus and DisneyNOW are their way of working and content.

Works Differently

DisneyNOW is a TV app that you can watch anywhere for free, but it requires a TV cable subscription for you to enjoy it.

Disney Plus is available to anyone willing to pay the $7.99 monthly subscription.

Content

Disney Now is designed to offer kid-friendly content targeting children from the ages of 2 to 14 years old. Here you will mainly find series and shows from channels like Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. You won’t find adult content on Disney Now because it’s a streamer that’s meant solely for kids.

Disney Plus includes nearly everything in the DisneyNow library, while also adding tons of animated movies from Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic and Disney, as well as some original programs that are geared more toward older viewers.

VerdictDisneyNow is been the go-to platform for Disney fans as well as parents with little kids.It is a safer choice for children under seven because it's entirely focused on kid-friendly content from channels they're likely familiar with. In addition, It’s also friendly for cable subscription users who have a TV and want to watch it anywhere.

Disney+ is a mainstream streaming service that provides many selections of shows and movies. It does feature more mature content from franchises like Marvel and "Star Wars," kids older than seven and adult would probably be better served with Disney Plus. It is also essentially more suited for the people who want to ditch cable subscriptions for online streaming services.

Disney Plus vs. Disney+ Hotstar: What's the Difference?

While Disney Plus is available in a bunch of countries, Disney Plus Hotstar is currently only available in India and, since September 2020, in Indonesia.  In addition to content that are offered on the global Disney+ platforms, Disney+ Hotstar Indonesia also provides access to over 300 Indonesian movies, including some of the Top 10 Indonesian films at the box office.

VerdictWith no dout that Disney+ Hotstar is more suitbale for India and Indonesia users.
