  • Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation review

Skin Type: Combination and Oily

Coverage: Medium-to-full

Finish: Matte
Formulation: Liquid

SPF: 10

Official Price: $43

Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup is a 24-hour liquid foundation that has a flawless, natural, and matte makeup that can make uneven skin tones and cover imperfections with buildable coverage. It can be mixed with serums and other foundations to create different finishes. It's the winner of the Allure Best of Beauty award.

Waterproof and transfer-resistant, this oil-free, matte formula evens out skin tone and blurs imperfections to give you a flawless finish. Double Wear has 56 shades to choose from, including cool, neutral and warm tones to suit all skin tones. It always seems to look better a few hours later than at the very beginning when you apply it. After a whole day of work, it will become mottled over time, and the color will start to appear yellowish. It can be used in hot and humid weather and feels light and comfortable.

  • Conclusion

Lancome Teint Idole vs. Estee Lauder Double Wear vs. YSL All Hours: Which Foundation is Best for You?

Estee Lauder Double Wear:

Between its long-lasting formula,  good coverage, velvety effect, reasonable price and skin-friendly ingredients, Estee Lauder Double Wear is the winner. But It's not suitable for dry skin

The coverage of Estee Lauder Double Wear is amazing and the foundation lasts all day without smudging or fading. It can cover age spots and other imperfections well. It's a little sticky and heavy at the begining, but It feels light and comfortable on your face as time goes on. As for finish,  Estée Lauder feels light on the skin which is surprising for a full coverage formula. It's a heat-resistant formula that does not flow away with sweat rather remains on your skin for 12 hours. But the fomular is a little dry which works well on oily skin

Lancome Teint Idole:

Compared with Double Wear, Lancome Teint Idole is more moisturizing and natural,  but it has a slightly weaker concealer. The consistency of this Lancome's Teint Idole foundation is also really nice. It's very bendable and gives a nice, natural, dewy finish. It's not too thick and not too thin. It gives a perfect base for a full face without looking cakey. It hides pores and doesn't settle into any fine lines or dry patches. But It's easy to oxidize after about 6-8 hours and having to touch up. Or use setting powder after applying. It's work well on oil skin too.

YSL All Hours:

This foundation really does look amazing for those first couple of hours. It's both hydrating and matte, making it comfortable on the skin and giving a naturally radiant look. It gives the skin a very naturally flawless appearance with great coverage, but no caking or strange texture. It's easy to blend, meaning that you can sheer it out or build up the coverage in areas where it's needed. One of the great things about YSL is that it can be used on all skin types. But for a foundation that claims 24 hour wear with no need for touch ups, it breaks up on t-zone by afternoon (around 7-8 hour mark) - where we have the most oil.  And it's too pricey.
