In the sixties, Wynsors were trading successfully as the Shoe Bargain Centre. They purchased two busy high street
chains, Sefton's and Lees of Leeds. At the time all of these were rebranded as Medina taking the total number of stores to around 26. A new trend for out of town shopping emerged and Wynsors quickly opened stores in Cleckheaton, Thurcroft and Bradford, the first stores to be branded Wynsors.
