When I talk about comparison here, I'm boiling it down to the Gazelle Originals vs. PUMA Suede Classic vs. Vans Old Skool. I thought that by avoiding the wide range of Puma Liga Suede and Sportstyle vs. any of the Primeknit, Super Essential, EQT or leather versions of adidas Gazelle I had a fairer playing field.

Adidas Gazelle - The upper of the Adidas Gazelle is made from Suede Nubuck. The suede material gives the Gazelle a vintage look.However this also makes them also a bit vulnerable to wet weather and to be easily stained. The reinforced toe box, the contrast stripes and heel tab add some nice retro vibes to this classic sneaker. The trefoil logo is present on the tongue and heel while the Gazelle text appears in gold by the iconic stripes.

PUMA Suede - Puma stick to their guns with the Suede name, using the material throughout that gives it durability and a distinct look. The lace system expands to the toe area which helps with adjusting them for wider feet but also adds some air flow, much needed given that the shoe only features a few perforations on the side.The shoe features synthetic leather in the ankle collar and tongue for a smooth finish.

Vans Old Skool - It use the durable canvas upper that gives these shoes some toughness.Old Skool has suede detailing over the toe box, eyestay (eyelets), and heel.

The arch support is very basic which means standing up in these for long hours is not the best idea.
