Citrusy notes from the verbena are more prominent in the new formulation and the first 30 minutes are full of them - very natural smelling, like snapping a blade of citrusy grass and sticking it in your nose, along with some fresh iris. Then the violet leaf comes out and it's drop dead gorgeous. It smells similar to Lalique's Hommage, but better, mixed in with the other notes. Ambergris? No, really well disguised ambroxan, but it's not real ambergris. Doesn't have the rounded saltiness of the real thing. Sandalwood comes out after some time and it's nice.

Beautiful clean and classic masculine/unisex scent. Would suit just about anyone as an everyday classy scent for any occassion. 

Masculine certainly but only for men who know they have it together. You’re not shouting out to anyone wearing this because you don't need to. It seems to ooze class, with a timeless 'je ne sais quoi' and whilst not cheap it should mean there wont be many others around smelling quite as good as you do.

Club de Nuit Intense Man smells like the synthetic, citrusy, fresh scent – it starts with citrus on top and works its way down to the white musk.
