Hermès Oran sandals weigh 380 grams or 0.83 pounds, vs. a pair of Havaiana rubber slim flip flops which weigh 245 grams or 0.54 pounds.

At less than a pound, the Orans are relatively light – you don’t have to worry about feeling weighed down when you wear them.

As for walking, they do not have arch support, so long distance walks are not ideal. They are quite flat with a 0.6 cm or 0.25 inch heel. For moderate walks (like ~1 mile), they’re relatively comfortable.

• Gucci Leather Thong Sandal

The quality is superb. The iconic Gucci logo is very distinct if you're into the logomania trend. The upper and sole are made of 100% leather. With the right care, leather shoes can last much longer. They are mold to your feet for a better fit and more comfort. Leather shoes on the other hand, tend to be heavier than synthetic materials. 

Even though there is no cushioning underfoot, they are pretty comfortable right out of the box. These sandals are versatile and go with pretty much anything! 

• Dior Dway slides

To start with no. The soles are comfortable but the canvas uppers start a little stiff and need breaking in. I did get blisters but just on my big toes the first day of wearing them before I did the below trick. I find them better for short trips and lunches rather than for lots of walking around.

Pro tip: use small bandaids/plasters just above your big toe-joint just where the top of the slides canvas sits on your foot to prevent chaffing or blisters. Once the canvas has softened you can stop doing this.

• YSL Tribute Flat Sandals

But depending on the design and material, it can go as high as $1025 or P55,700, like the Rose Du Désert, which is rendered in shearling material with the design's iconic "H" cut-out.
