Breville Juice Fountain Cold vs Elite vs Cold Plus vs Cold XL vs Compact: Differences and Reviews 2024

Breville Juice Fountain Cold vs Elite vs Cold Plus vs Cold XL vs Compact: Differences and Reviews 2024

The best juicers can make getting your daily fruits and vegetables fast and easy. Buying juice pre-made can get expensive—and once juiced, fruits and veggies tend to quickly lose their vital nutrients—so investing in a juicer can save you money and give you a fresher final product. Consider These 5 Best Breville Juicers. Juicers extract the liquid from produce, separating it from tough skin, seeds, and fibrous pulp to create smooth, tasty, easy-to-drink beverages. There are tons of different juicing methods and styles out there, and we tested some of the top-rated machines out there. After rating juicers on efficiency of extraction, design, taste, versatility, noise level, setup, and, of course, ease of cleaning, we've come up with our list of favorites. Here are our top picks for the best juicers.

Why Choose Breville Juicer

These are the things common amongst all Breville juicers and the reasons why they’re such a great brand.

Well Trusted

Dedicated to innovation, the brand introduced the first juicer capable of crushing whole fruits and vegetables.

Breville has been making juicers for a long time, and people have been enjoying them this whole time! Thousands upon thousands of people have chosen Breville as their juicer of choice, some models even have over 5000 Amazon reviews!

And if you consider not everyone who buys leaves a review that must be a good sign, definitely a sign you’re not alone in your choice.

Unique Extraction Process

Breville use an ultra-sharp titanium reinforced cutting disk in their juicer which is sure to make short work of anything it comes into contact with. This is the surrounded by an Italian made micro mesh filter that helps extract up to 30% more juice and 40% more vitamins and minerals!

Extra Wide Chute For Minimum Prep Time

All their juicers come with a 3-inch feeding chute which means you can put in most fruit and vegetables more or less whole. What does that mean? Well it means you can get to making your delicious juice faster with less prep time.

Froth Separator

Finally all the juice collection jugs come with a froth separator which works to keep froth out your juice when it’s made. Because when you’re taking a drink of juice and get nothing but the foam on top it can ruin the taste somewhat, an ideal thing to avoid.

easy to clean

Straightforward in design, Breville juicers tend to be easy to clean. That’s because most of their parts are dishwasher safe. The specific parts vary by model, but generally, you can load the unit’s pulp container, juice jug, and micro-mesh filter basket in the top rack of your dishwasher.

How Do I Buy a Breville Juicer?

Breville sells its juicers directly to consumers from its website. You can also purchase them from major retailers, including Macy’s, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Walmart, as well as home-goods stores like Crate and Barrel, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Editor's Reviews & Buyer's Guide

#1.         Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite Centrifugal Juicer

($299.99 FROM Amazon - Or Save 33%)

the Juice Fountain® Elite | Breville (US)

The 1000 Watt motor in the juice fountain elite is getting to professional standards when it comes to juicing compared to the juice fountain plus. It’s also got the 2-speed settings so you can make everything perfect.

When compared to other fast juicers on the market, Breville 800JEXL manages to extract the highest yield due to its patented system of central loading down the axis of the filter basket.

It extracts up to 30 percent more yield and 40 percent more nutrients than other juicers. The pulp it produces into its extra-large pulp bin is pretty dry too, so you know you’re getting the most out of the ingredients you’re juicing.

Foam is kept to a minimum thanks to its foam-blocking mechanism. While there are small amounts of foam and oxidation, considering it is a centrifugal juicer, it does an amazing job yielding delicious, high quality juice.

What’s more, this Breville juicer includes a wide chute and large-volume containers, so that users can make vast amounts of juice with no problem at all. And it’s a generous 5 cups in size so you can juice to your heart’s content.

The Breville’s wide, 3-inch feed chute means produce prep time can be kept to a minimum. In practice, that means simply halving apples as opposed to quartering them (or more).

It preserves the longevity of the vitamins, nutrients, and the enzymes in spite of the high speeds of the juicing process; producing a tasty juice that can be stored for at least 24 hours in a tightly sealed, glass container.

The juicer cover, stainless steel filter bowl, puree disc, and juice jug are all safe to go into your dishwasher.

The Breville Juice Fountain Elite is expensive for a centrifugal-style juicer. This helps it to process tougher items such as kale and carrots more easily than less expensive centrifugal models — all while retaining a simple design for efficient assembly and cleaning.

Whether it offers absolute value for money will depend on your outlook. You’re certainly paying out some of its $300 price tag for its design, but the added durability makes that seem very much worth it.

It’s on the larger side, so you’ll need to make some space for it on your countertop, but then this juicer is designed to be a statement piece. It’s a good juicer with great design. The Breville’s polished metal exterior actually makes it look more expensive than the pricier plastic Hurom juicer.

#2.         Breville Juice Fountain Cold

($199.95 FROM breville )

the Juice Fountain® Cold

Compared to the Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus, which costs $279.95, the Breville Juice Fountain Cold has a price tag of $199.95, making it a more favorable option for those on a budget.

The biggest difference between these very similar juicers is their power. The Breville Juice Fountain Cold has an 850-watt motor, while the Plus model is equipped with a faster 1,000-watt motor.

If your primary juicing concern is the preservation of much-desired fiber, vitamins, and nutrients, then the BJE430SIL model is for you.

Its advanced cold extraction technology ensures the health properties of your favorite fruits and veggies remain in the liquid, ensuring that your drink is not only delicious, but also beneficial.

Breville has introduced its Cold Spin technology here. This keeps the juice away from the base of the juicing chamber, which is where you’ll find the majority of the heat in a centrifugal blender. This results in less than 1.8°F of heat transferred when extracting juice, which should allay any concerns that might remain over heat and juice quality.

Essentially you’re getting everything you could need from a masticating juicer with the price tag of a centrifugal one! Except, in yield, the Big Squeeze will still outperform the Fountain Cold when it comes to how much juice is produced.

An LED display to control speed is simply icing on the cake. The machine offers two different speeds—6,500 RPM for softer fruits and 13,000 RPM for hard items like carrots or whole apples. The high-speed mode was more than able to handle cauliflower, bell pepper, cucumber, and even pineapple with the skin still on.

Despite the big power, the Breville Cold had similar trouble with spinach and other leafy veggies as the Compact, so it might not be an ideal choice for fans of green juice.

The 3.3-inch feeding chute ensures this juicer is a breeze for those with very little time in the morning - there’s little need to pre-chop your ingredients, just throw them in.

The juice jug is a generous 70 fluid oz too, and with a large external pulp basket, you should be able to make enough juice for all the family in one sitting.

Even better, a twist of the lid allows you to extend the fridge life from 24 hours to around 72 hours, by minimizing oxidation.

With smooth, BPA-free plastic parts and a brushed chrome base, this juicer is easy to clean and most of the parts are dishwasher-safe.

#3.         Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus

($299.99 FROM Bed Bath and Beyond - Or Save 23% & Get Up To 2% Cash Back)

Editor's review:

The Juice Fountain Cold range is Breville's relatively short shelf-life solution for juices produced by high-speed juicers. This is a perennial problem for consumers, making cold-press juicers a more popular choice.

Breville claims its proprietary cold spin technology can extend the shelf life of juices to 72 hours. This is unheard of in the centrifugal juicer market.

So, in essence, you get the best of both worlds. You will get the shelf life of a slow juicer and the fast juice time of a centrifugal juicer.

Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus is the middle child in the brand's trilogy of cold rotary juicers.

In my opinion, this is the best option of the three. It has a more refined design than Juice Fountain Cold. In terms of performance, there is no difference between the two. It's just a matter of preference. If you prefer a stainless steel but more expensive juicer, go for the Plus. If you prefer an affordable option, go for the classic Breville Juice Fountain Cold.

Or, if you or your family have a big appetite for nutrient-dense juices, you might want to go big by purchasing Juice Fountain Cold XL.

One of the best features is the wide chute on the Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus. At 3.5 inches wide, you don't have to cut produce into smaller pieces.

This can save a lot of time. You'll spend more time juicing and less time preparing!

Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus is best for dense produce, softer produce and citrus fruits. You can combine leafy greens with water-rich fruits and vegetables (such as cucumbers, apples, etc.), but you shouldn't juice leafy greens on their own.

This sleek machine is equipped with two speed settings for easy adjustment and uses a rear pulp bin to cut down on its overall footprint.

It's a bit bulky and can take up a lot of space on the countertop.

The machine also has fewer parts than its competitors, which can help simplify assembly and cleanup.

The Juice Fountain Cold Plus is affordably priced, serving as the most affordable cold-press juicer on our list. But, with your purchase comes a one-year limited warranty.

#4.         Breville Juice Founatin Cold XL Juicer

($379.99 FROM Sur La Tablet - Save 15% & Get Up To 2% Cash Back)

image.png

Since produce tends to lose some beneficial nutrients when heated, many people prefer a cold juicer , which aims to keep ingredients at a low temperature during juicing. The Breville Juice Fountain Cold XL uses the brand's "cold spin technology" to propel product through its cutting disc and mesh without increasing the temperature of the juicer.

Breville The Juice Fountain Cold XL (BJE830BSS) is the big brother of The Juice Fountain Cold (Breville BJE430SIL) and Breville The Juice Fountain Cold Plus (BJE530BSS). This is by far the best designed Breville juicer, or we might even say the best centrifugal juicer on the market.

Check it out, it's a beautiful kitchen appliance. Compared to Breville’s Juice Fountain Cold Juicer, the XL has a wider chute for fitting bigger pieces of produce (and thus, resulting in less prep time) and comes in an array of display-worthy colors.

Breville is slowly moving away from its horizontal architecture. It has a space-saving L-shaped design.

The compact design features a powerful and quiet 1,100-watt motor, a feed chute that is over 3 inches wide, and 3 independent speed settings that give you complete control of your process.

It comes with Quiet, Fast and Boost modes, depending on the type of ingredients you're juicing and perhaps the time of day you’re doing so.

Its juice jug holds up to 70 fluid ounces (2 liters) of juice and comes with a lid that can be used for storage — a testament to the extended shelf life that’s usually reserved for juice produced from masticating juicers.

The "Seal and Store Juicing Jug" keeps juices fresh for up to 72 hours in the refrigerator. It is a big deal since juice extracted from centrifugal juicers typical last for just 24 hours.

The machine also has fewer parts than its competitors, which can help simplify assembly and cleanup. All removable parts except the food pusher are dishwasher safe.

The main disadvantage of this model is its price, which is significantly higher than many juicers of similar caliber.

Additionally, some reviewers pointed out that the design of the pitcher can make cleaning every nook and cranny difficult.
