Lay’s Kettle Cooked Flamin’ Hot Flavored Potato Chips
While Flamin' Hot Lay's already exist, these kettle-cooked chips are crunchier than their chip counterparts.
Like the fan-favorite Flamin' Hot seasoning on other chip varieties, these combine a fiery chili pepper taste with the crunchy, kettle-cooked potato chip texture that Lay's Kettle Cooked chips are known for. Available in two sizes, the Lay's Kettle Cooked Flamin' Hot chips will sell for $3.49 for an 8-ounce bag and $1.89 for a 2.5-ounce bag.
The boldest flavor of the three Lay’s new flavors is definitely the Lay’s Kettle Cooked Flamin’ Hot. Everyone knows that the Kettle Cooked chips offer a bigger crunch because of how the chips are made. That process offers an additional aspect, more flavor.
The Flamin’ Hot seasoning is super absorbed in these Lay’s Kettle chips. By far, these chips seem to be the hottest flamin’ hot chips yet. During my recent taste test, the flavor was definitely extreme, but quite enjoyable.
If you can’t handle the heat, this chip might not be for you. For all heat fans, it might be a good idea to grab two bags.

Given the boldness of the flavors, these Lay’s snacks are definitely on trend.
The Lay’s Cheddar Jalapeño could the next perfect hamburger chip. While the jalapeño offers heat, the flavor isn’t overwhelming. The cheese balances it well. It is definitely a mild spice that is quite approachable.
The Cheddar Jalapeno flavor was perfectly cheesy with a slight peppery kick at the end.

Lay’s Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Chips
Love pickles and spicy food? This is the snack for you! There’s so much flavor bursting in just one crunchy chip!
Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Chips were originally released as part of the brand’s “Turn Up the Flavor” campaign, along with Electric Lime and Sea Salt and Beer Cheese Kettle Chips. The Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle flavor was our top pick back then, and apparently, we weren’t the only ones who loved ’em. Lay’s brought this limited edition flavor back to the snack aisle for good.
The chips are coated with the Flamin’ Hot seasoning you know and love from Cheetos. It definitely packs heat at first, but then the cool pickle flavor helps cut the spiciness factor. You either love ’em or you hate ’em!
Someone who attested to this snack's power was Courtney In the Middle Seat. That blogger said "If you've got a low spice tolerance you will want to slow down. The 'flamin hot' will kick in, heating up your mouth with a nice back-of-throat tingle." She Speaks agreed, writing "These chips have a good balance between the pickle flavor and a bit of heat!" On Target's website, someone warned "These are ridiculously hot and tasty. Beware they are both very spicy and a lot like salt/vinegar potato chips." For people who want hot, sweet, sour, and salty — all in one snack — these chips are for you.
You can find Lay’s Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle Chips in stores nationwide right now. They’re also listed on Target’s website as well as Walmart’s website. The chips are selling quickly, but now that Lay’s made them a permanent flavor, you can definitely wait for your grocery store to restock them. Enjoy these hot pickle chips at a barbecue or as a snack while you binge-watch food shows on Netflix.
In case you haven't tried it, this flavor is described as a mix of Flamin' Hot (think a Flamin' Hot Cheeto) and dill pickle, which means it has some heat and some tanginess. And since it's sticking around, it can make appearances at all your fall activities. And winter. And spring. And summer. And always. Just look for the bright purple bag.
The zesty flavor was initially released as part of Lay's "Turn Up the Flavor" campaign, and as of Sept. 9, 2019, it's a permanent flavor now available on store shelves. When Lay's first dropped the tangy-meets-spicy chips earlier this year for a limited time, they were met with a mix of intrigue and suspicion. But as more and more potato chip lovers took the plunge and tried 'em out, they quickly became a fan favorite.

LAY'S® STAX® XTRA Flamin' Hot Flavored Potato Crisps
Many dubbed this a Pringles wannabe, with a coating that looked like “red sawdust and sadness” on one side and a bare bottom on the other. “If I could tell the CEO to burn these chips, I would,” wrote one taster. The only redeeming quality was the delayed heat, which a few people enjoyed. $1.25, 5.5 ounces

The three new flavors are Lay's Adobadas, Lay's Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Popper, and Lay's Wavy Carnitas Street Tacos.
The Adobadas plays on the Latin dish — pairing chili, tomato, and lime zest. Then there’s the Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers, celebrating the United States’ love of bacon — melding a kick of jalapeno and smoky BBQ. And lastly, the Carnitas Street Tacos brings classic Mexican street food to life with a rich taco-style pork flavor.
All flavours will be available in retailers nationwide for $4.59 per 7.75oz bag. However, Lay’s Adobadas and Lay’s Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Popper will also be available in 2.62oz bags for $2.29.

Lay’s Game Day Chili Potato Chips
Chili is one of those foods that’s especially comforting in the wintertime, and you can’t beat having a big pot on the stove for football Sundays. So it only makes sense that Lay’s is releasing the Game Day Chili chips just in time for Super Bowl LV. The 7.75-ounce bags be hitting shelves nationwide in the first week of January 2021 for a suggested retail price of $3.79.
As with many of Lay’s specialty flavors, the Game Day Chili variety will only be available for a limited time. Instead of crushing up tortilla chips to go in your real chili, we’re thinking these chili-flavored chips would be even better!
When it comes to watching sports, it’s all about paying attention to the game and eating snacks.
Lay’s is releasing a new flavor that you can snack on while watching football. Soon, football fans will be able to buy the limited-edition Lay’s Game Day Chili potato chips, Delish reported.
Lay’s announced it was offering the equivalent of a comforting bowl of chili in the form of a potato chip with the introduction of new Game Day Chili potato chips.
According to the company, the idea behind this limited-edition flavor is that it turns a fan-favorite meal into a chip form. The bag details a bowl of beef chili with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chives, but what consumers can expect is “the classic combination of tomatoes, chili peppers, onion, garlic, and Tex-Mex spices with a little back-end kick,” said a press release.
As with many of Lay’s specialty flavors, the Game Day Chili variety will only be available for a limited time. Arriving just in time for Super Bowl, Game Day Chili potato chips are set to hit shelves across the US the first week of January 2021 in 7.75 oz. bags for a suggested price of USD3.79 per bag.

Lay's Chile Limón Flavored Potato Chips
We all agreed that these chips had a “street taco in a bag” vibe. The balance of heat and acidity is quite nice. Actually, the lime flavor in these is better than in the plain limón chips. Why? For some reason, Lay’s Chile Limón chips contain lemon and lime juice, while the regular limón chips contain neither of those things and only citric acid. Crazy! I don’t know what’s going on there, but these chile limón chips are bright, citrusy, spicy, and delicious.
A Nose Plunge Test revealed very little. There may have been a sort of tomato smell, but that may just have been us hunting for something. Lay's will need to meet targets for their less standard flavored Chips in their domestic market, but this flavor is marketed vigorously under different branding in their overseas territories, some of which enjoy spicier food, such as India and Mexico. So, are they hot enough? Again, Lay's are very clever in this area. There was a sweet tomato peppery tang to them which combined equally with a tart citrus flavor. So as a combo it battled well, and as a flavor it worked well to replace heat with flavor.
The word "Chile" had me scared, but these aren't really all that spicy. They have a decent bit of kick, but nothing extreme. When I see that red bag and red seasoning I immediately think of "Flamin Hot" (eeeep!) but the bag is FAR more intimidating than need be. These were like the American cousin of the Adobada flavored chips from Mexico had a spicy baby with a Lime. They have a complex Mexican style seasoning that reminds you almost of Red Enchilada sauce, that little bit of kick, and then a perfectly complimentary tang of Lime. MMM. These are fantastic with Carne Asada on the BBQ and a Corona or Pacifico! The quality of the chip is great and doesn't fight with the seasoning. The seasoning is evenly applied and offers a ton of flavor without being heavy handed. The Limon in particular just comes in at the end to give tang, it isn't overwhelming like the Limon bag. All in all, I would highly recommend these bags. This is the ideal bag for a Southern California, poolside, Cerveza, kind of day! Great bag!
The Chile Limon flavor packs the heat of real chilies and adds the perfect touch of lime flavor to seal the deal.
The result is an exotic vacation for your taste buds.
Sometimes the craving for spicy and crunchy snacks is unbearable.

Lay’s Chile Mango
Lay's Potato Chips Chile Mango features the flavor of mango paired with the heat and tang of chile peppers.
Three new, limited-edition Lay's Potato Chip flavors can be found on store shelves 2021 summer. They include Chile Mango, Wavy Jerk Chicken, and Summer BLT varieties. As you can tell just from the names alone, they involve foods that you’d especially dive into in June, July, and August.
First on the list, Lay's Chile Mango chip is a "tropical chip" that combines the flavors "of mango with the spice and tang of chile peppers. The flavor will come in a pink bag bearing images of mangoes and limes.
"limited summer flavor" means there won’t be a huge window for you to snack on them. But fans hope it will continue to hit store shelves in the coming year.

LAY'S® Kettle Cooked Jalapeño
These used to be my favorite chip. They must have just changed the formula. They are slightly spicy but not what they used to be. The flavor is way more bland now. I’m really hoping it’s not a permanent change!
LAY'S Kettle Cooked Jalapeno potato chips combine the delicious goodness of farm-grown potatoes with the fiery wallop of real jalapenos. In other words, be careful not to rub your eyes. Yes, they're tasty, but make no mistake: they mean business.

Lay's Kettle Cooked Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper
Even if you’ve never cooked a meal in your life beyond boxed macaroni and cheese, you probably have salt and pepper at your place. They’re the most basic seasonings you can possibly own, and yet some would say it’s the combination that flies the most under the radar, as far as chips are concerned.
Lay’s already makes Kettle Cooked Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper chips, but now the brand has launched a Salt & Pepper flavor in Wavy. You can pick up a bag (or 10) at Walmart.
Final Thoughts
The snack industry has helped fuel the intense craze behind the surge of love for spicy treats. The words “flamin’ hot” can be found on almost every snack shelf, and for a good reason!
If you have not yet leaped into the world of spicy chips, it’s well past time to do so!
