Ninja Cold Press vs. Omega MM900H vs. Breville Juice Fountain vs. NutriBullet Slow Juicer
Which Wins the Cold Press Juicer Showdown?4 Best Cold Press Juicers Comparison, Reviews & Buying Guide
#1. Nutribullet Slow Juicer – Best Whole Slow Juicer
($199.99 FROM Nutribullet - Get Up To 6% Cash Back)
A new addition to our list of the best cold press juicers is the Nutribullet Slow Juicer, our best affordable slow juicer.
Before it was released, my reviews of the first Nutribullet juicer were not very good. But this one is different. This is a well-designed product that I can finally recommend to friends.
The Nutribullet Slow Juicer is a vertical cold press juicer. The 150 watt motor runs at 65 RPM and it extracts juice at a more efficient speed. It is an excellent machine for producing green juice, beet juice, celery juice, etc.
A great feature of the Nutribullet Slow Juicer is its 3-inch feed trough. It's like the best of both worlds - the convenience of having the wide chute of a centrifugal juicer and the efficiency of a cold-press juicer.
These machines solve a long-standing problem with cold press juicers - narrow slots.
Standard slow juicers have a very tight opening, averaging an inch or two. This flaw requires you to cut fruits and vegetables into small pieces to get your most valuable asset.
It's not as easy to clean as the Hurom H200, but it's dishwasher safe.
This unit has a powerful but very quiet motor capable of squeezing out most things. It's important to note, however, that juicers tend to clog very fibrous materials more easily than more expensive juicers.
This product is fairly new and will be available in April 2021. But it puts some top juicer brands in competition with them.
In terms of juice quality, this particular juicer is at its best. Juice from a slow juicer will keep for at least three days. This is important considering that the beverages produced by centrifugal juicers have a short shelf life of only 24 hours.
#2. Ninja® Cold Press Juicer Pro
($99.99 FROM Bed Bath and Beyond - Or Save 23% & Get Up To 2% Cash Back)
The Ninja Cold Press Juicer Pro with Total Pulp Control is a very affordable slow juicer. I would highly recommend it to anyone, whether you're just getting started or already a juicing veteran.
Unique to this product are the auger and interchangeable pulp filter. The auger on this machine has a stainless steel end, which is stronger than the plastic one. You also get three different pore size pulp filters.
The bigger the hole, the more pulp there is for the juice. You see, the biggest criticism of juicing is the lack of fiber. With this accessory, you get the best of both worlds.
If you're coming from an Omega juicer, you're probably looking for those extra food processing accessories. Sadly, the Ninja Cold Press Juicer Pro is strictly for juicing. However, it functions just like any leading masticating juicer that excels at making green juices. Due to its slow juicing process, the Ninja Juicer produces more juice and retains more nutrients than its competitors.
One of the best things about masticating juicers is juicing efficiency. It produces drier pulp than an upright slow juicer. In terms of juice quality, it is second only to grinding juicers.
Not only is your drink bigger, it's also packed with more nutrients. So, in theory, this type of machine will pay for itself over time.
Generally speaking, the only challenge with slow juicers is the small feed trough. This particular Ninja juicer has an opening of about 2 inches. You will need to cut fruits and vegetables to fit that diameter.
It's self-sufficient to some extent, but you'll need to use a stir stick to push the fruit and veggies a little.
The Ninja Juicer Pro with Total Pulp Control is a horizontal masticating juicer. It is equipped with a 150 watt motor and is capable of making any type of juice, be it green juice or any basic drink.
#3. Omega MM900HDS – The Medical Medium Juicer
($287.95 FROM Omega - Save 22% & Get Up To 7% Cash Back)
The Omega MM900HDS is the official medical medium-sized juicer. It is optimized for celery juicing, but is also suitable for processing leafy greens, dense produce and citrus fruits.
Based on the Omega J8006 and J8008 architectures, it features a larger funnel design, larger and stronger screen housing, more powerful motors, and BPA-free parts.
In terms of juice quality, the MM900HDS Omega Juicer lives up to Omega's standards. As a member of the horizontal masticating juicer series, it has the same efficiency as similar products. With this product, you will get a higher yield of juice, which is full of nutrients.
Among other omega chewing juicers, the MM900HDS is the most efficient celery stalk juicer. It has a tighter end cap to help you maximize juice production. This means you'll get the most out of your pile of celery.
The juicer screen of the MM900HDS has less clearance than the 8006 HDS. However, it is made for juicing. It has no additional food processing accessories.
If you're also using your juicer for other purposes, such as making non-dairy alternatives, making pasta, chopping sauces, etc., then this is not the model you should upgrade to.
Despite this shortcoming, it's still one of the best masticating juicers out there, with Omega's seal of quality. It can make green juice, celery juice, or any type of juice. This is a reliable product that will last over a decade.
#4. Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus
($299.99 FROM Bed Bath and Beyond - Or Save 23% & Get Up To 2% Cash Back)
The Juice Fountain Cold range is Breville's relatively short shelf-life solution for juices produced by high-speed juicers. This is a perennial problem for consumers, making cold-press juicers a more popular choice.
Breville claims its proprietary cold spin technology can extend the shelf life of juices to 72 hours. This is unheard of in the centrifugal juicer market.
So, in essence, you get the best of both worlds. You will get the shelf life of a slow juicer and the fast juice time of a centrifugal juicer.
Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus is the middle child in the brand's trilogy of cold rotary juicers. In my opinion, this is the best option of the three. It has a more refined design than Juice Fountain Cold.
In terms of performance, there is no difference between the two. It's just a matter of preference. If you prefer a stainless steel but more expensive juicer, go for the Plus. If you prefer an affordable option, go for the classic Breville Juice Fountain Cold Juicer.
Or, if you or your family have a big appetite for nutrient-dense juices, you might want to go big by purchasing Juice Fountain Cold XL.
One of the best features is the wide chute on the Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus. At 3.5 inches wide, you don't have to cut produce into smaller pieces.
This can save a lot of time. You'll spend more time juicing and less time preparing!
Breville Juice Fountain Cold Plus is best for dense produce, softer produce and citrus fruits. You can combine leafy greens with water-rich fruits and vegetables (such as cucumbers, apples, etc.), but you shouldn't juice leafy greens on their own.

The conclusion
Breville claims its proprietary cold spin technology can extend the shelf life of juices to 72 hours. If true, it would rival a cold press juicer. The way Breville "achieves" this is by moving the spout above the cutting disc to minimize heat transfer. This slight modification will keep heat transfer below 1.8°F.
However, I would add a pinch of salt since heat plays only a small role in the breakdown of essential nutrients. Oxidation overshadows the heat, which is impossible to minimize with a high-speed juicer.
Still, cold press juicers have advantages in terms of nutrient retention and juicing efficiency.
Cold press juicers are usually slow. It takes about a few minutes to make a glass of juice, from dicing to the juicing process itself.
Centrifugal juicers, on the other hand, can do the same thing in seconds. Thanks to the wider feeder and higher revolutions per minute (RPM), there is no need to chop most fruits and vegetables.
Guess what? The Nutribullet Slow Juicer has a 3" feed slot. This will save you a lot of time preparing your product. You don't need to cut fruits and vegetables into 1- to 2-inch pieces like a standard vertical slow juicer.
I would recommend the Nutribullet Slow Juicer to anyone, whether you are just starting out or have been juicing for years. This is an affordable juicer that doesn't disappoint when it comes to features. This juicer is easier to use than the competition.
