The Nintendo Switch is designed as a hybrid console which not only gives you the option to play on your television, but also the handheld mode provides gamers with a gaming experience you can transport with you. What's more, it comes with a disassembling controller with split-screen options, so you can play with friends.
On the games side, the Nintendo Switch has 50 third-party publishers in partnership for developing its future games. There is dozens of exclusive critically acclaimed titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and so much more, it’s worth getting a Switch system for the games alone. But you don't always get to play the latest AAA titles on the Switch due to the lack of graphical power available.

The PS5 has been particularly difficult to get a hold of since November 2020 for good reason. First, it offers stunning graphics and fast performance, thanks to a strong graphics card, processor, and storage drive. In addition, the PS5 controller deserves special mention, as it is much improved. One of the first thing you will notice about the PS5 is how games feel in your hands, thanks to the dualsense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
What's more, not only does PS5 host a number of great Sony exclusives, such as Horizon Forbidden West and Deathloop, but it’s also an excellent place to experience PS4 games, thanks to its excellent backwards compatibility. The PlayStation 5 is here in two variants now, and the more affordable Digital Edition could work nicely for a lot of people. It has all the same power and storage of the standard PS5 but simply loses the disk drive.

| #3 Microsoft Xbox Series X
Google Users Rating: 4.6/5
Microsoft: $499.99 (up to 7% cashback)
eBay: $500 (up to 4.6% cashback)
The Xbox Series X is Microsoft’s answer to next-gen gaming, offering the same 4K@120fps performance with ray-tracing, high-quality textures and improved particle effects as the PS5, and although not quite as fast as Sony’s bespoke SSD, the inclusion of an SSD means games are snappy too. There’s a large library of games available to play, offering backward compatibility all the way back to the original Xbox – something that the PS5 can’t quite compete with, only offering compatibility with PS4 titles outside of its PS Now service.
Xbox also offers an excellent value proposition in the form of Xbox Game Pass. This affordable subscription gives you access to a library of hundreds of rotating games from a wide variety of genres. However, the launch list isn’t quite as exciting as the PS5’s, with no ‘must-have’ exclusives or brand-new games to tempt you to buy the new Xbox on the first day.
PROS | CONS |
Next-gen 4K@120fps performance | Lacks big exclusives |
Extensive backward compatibility | No changes to Xbox controller |
Large library of games and applications | Slower loading times than PS5 |
Xbox Game Pass offers great value | |
Fast loading and menus | |
Runs quiet and cool |

Price
No big surprise here as the Nintendo Switch comes in at the lowest price point among all three consoles at $299.99.
Sony announced that the PS5 will retail for $499. A disc-less version with the exact same internal hardware is available for $399.99.
The Xbox Series X prices in at $499.99, which is pretty much what was expected in the run-up to launch.
Size and Simplicity
Both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 are pushing size to the limits. The PS5 is around 15-inches tall, which is bigger than any previous PlayStation. The Xbox Series X might be shorter, but it compensates with width. The size is necessary for their supposed graphical prowess. The Nintendo Switch is most portability, it allows you to enjoy all of your favorites on the go, and with friends, but its graphics capabilities aren’t nearly as good as the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5.
Controller
The Nintendo Switch comes with two detachable Joy-Cons. The Joy-Cons are versatile controllers. You can combine both of them in a controller mount; you can play with one in each hand; you can even use each Joy-Con as a tiny standalone controller, in case you want to get a spontaneous multiplayer match going.
Sony PS5's DualSense controller looks to be a true next-generation controller that focuses on the player experience, including such features as adaptive triggers, haptic feedback and improved speaker sound. It is arguably all about increasing the immersion that you get from games in a way that no other controller has achieved to date.
Microsoft has kept things much the same with the new Xbox Wireless Controller. It's got a new “Share” button borrowed from DualShock 4, and a modified D-pad borrowed from Xbox Elite Controller. It has emphasis on the eradication of latency through an extremely fast wireless connection, and one that runs in tandem with TVs that possess a HDMI 2.1 connection in order to take advantage
Exclusive Games
Consoles can truly thrive or fail based on the volume and reception to their exclusive games lineup. The three main console makers, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo all offer its own exclusive games.Regarding the exclusive games of each platform, you can get the information by trailers, the media and the evaluation of game players.
Some exclusive game series of Nintendo Switch: The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Splatoon, Super Mario, Super Smash Bros.
Some exclusive game series of XBox Series X: fairy tale, forza, war gear, halo, ori
Some exclusive game series of PS5: God of War, Gran Turismo, Horizon, Ratchet & Clank, Spider-Man
Verdict
Nintendo Switch vs. PS5 vs. Xbox Series X: Which is the Best Option?
Nintendo Switch, Sony PS5 and Xbox Series X are all good options, and well worth considering, depending on what you want from your gaming system.
The Nintendo Switch is a flexible, versatile option that plays just as well in handheld mode as when docked in your TV and it does outperform its competitors in somatosensory games. If you like to play with family members, or you really want a hybrid game console that you can turn into a handheld, then Switch is definitely a good choice.
For those focused on graphics, you will like the sheer power of the Xbox Series X. The console features 12 TFLOPS of power and up to eight times more graphical performance than Xbox One, not to mention twice as much as the Xbox One X. The Xbox Series X also has 16GB of GDDR6 RAM and supports variable refresh rate, Variable Rate Shading technology, and a low-latency mode that allows for better responses out of your games. In addition, Xbox Series X also boasts the incredibly good value Game Pass membership.
Sony PS5's first-party exclusives are among the very best, such as Horizon Forbidden West, God of War and Deathloop. In addition, it’s lightning-fast load speeds, and has a new controller. If you value the best combination of performance and exclusives around, Sony’s Playstation 5 is your best choice.
