Google Users Rating: 4.5/5
La Roche-Posay: $14.99/200ml (up to 8% cashback)
Walgreens: $11.99 (up to 6% cashback)

Key ingredients:
- 2% salicylic acid helps clear blackheads, whiteheads and acne blemishes.
- Lipo-hydroxy acid targets areas of oily skin to gently provide precise, cell-by-cell removal of debris and dirt.
Skin type: oily, acne-prone
Acne type: comedonal acne, mild and moderate inflammatory acne
Review: Cleansers with 2 percent salicylic acid are a great choice if you're struggling with cystic acne. Dr. Chang explains that 2 percent salicylic and lipo hydroxy acids clear pores and "prevent acne before it even starts," which is essentially the best type of news. But, the best part is that it's still gentle enough to use on those with acne and sensitive skin, with a non-comedogenic formula that includes moisturizing glycerin.
But it might also cause irritation if you don't have oily or acne-prone skin.

| Bioderma Sébium Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel
Google Users Rating: 4.6/5
Walgreens: $21.99/500ml (up to 6% cashback)
CVS: $16.49 (up to 2% cashback)
Key ingredients:
- Zinc Sulfate and Copper Sulphate: purifying agents that also limit sebaceous secretion.
- D.A.F.™(Dermatological Advanced Formulation): with a seaweed extract and a combination of ingredients working in a mild, synergistic and complementary way, this technology contributes to improve the tolerance threshold of the skin and improve its resistance.
- Mannitol, Xylitol and Rhamnose: hydrate skin.
Skin type: combination to oily skin
Acne type: comedonal acne, mild inflammatory acne
Review: Bioderma Sebium Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel uses Sodium Cocoamphoacetate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate, two gentle, medium-strength surfactants. It is very good for people with sensitive skin who don't like to use chemical based products on skin. This is a cleanser for oily, NOT dry skin, so that was to be expected. That's why it's so important your cleanser is suitable for your skin type.
It does deliver and the formulation is gentle enough, the only weird part is that this contains fragrance. Fragrance always has the possibility of sensitizing your skin depending on how it gets incorporated into the final product.
| Avene Cleanance Cleansing Gel
Google Users Rating: 4.6/5
Avène: $30.00/400ml (up to 4% cashback)
Walgreens: $30.00 (up to 6% cashback)
Walmart: $30.00 (up to 4% cashback)
Key ingredients:
- Comedoclastin: a stabilized extract derived from milk thistle, helps visibly reduce the appearance of blemishes.
- Monolaurin: reduces excess oil.
- Zinc Gluconate: helps soothe and visibly reduce redness.
- Avene Thermal Spring Water: soothes, softens and calms the skin.
Skin type: oily, blemish-prone skin
Acne type: comedonal acne, mild and moderate inflammatory acne
Review: Although it provides such a thorough cleanse, it is still gentle. It's soap-free, meaning it respects the pH of the skin and helps to restore the protective barrier. It spreads pretty easily over the skin and foams up very slightly, allowing you to have a good ol' cleanse.
Would not recommend this product to anyone with particularly dry skin as it's recommended specifically for oily skin. It contains Monolaurin, which regulates excess sebum and mattifies the skin — and I worry that this could be slightly drying. It also has a downside that it is a bit more expensive than the above two.
