Takis is a brand of snack that was created in Mexico. They are moderately thick tortilla chips rolled into small cylinders, similar to mini taquitos.

The most popular and well-known of Takis is its "Fuego" flavor (Hot Chili Pepper & Lemon), which is the spiciest of all flavors in a bright purple bag.

In this case, we're happy to leave the word to Takis: "As if you were eating fire flames, as if you were burning your own tongue, would you eat fire?"

Takis Fuego are very spicy Mexican chips that have been trending online for the "Takis Challenge" for years.

It is said to be between 30,000-50,000 units on the Scoville scale, which is as hot as cayenne and tabasco peppers. 

The Takis brand advertising says it all: "Don't try our flavors as they are addictive (and dangerously) delicious!"

Takis Fuego chips are deep red in color, and are covered in rich spices. This product may not be the hottest snack ever, but it did make me sweat around my neck and also made my fingers red from the spicy dust.

We'll admit, the special edition "Hot Chili Pepper & Lime flavored" is for snack lovers who like fiery flavors, such as ourselves.

These are one of the best hot chips we've ever had. We would definitely recommend Takis Fuego to friends or family as the they are so delicious.

Takis, exactly what we expected. When you take your first bite, you'll smell a burst of lime flavor, followed by a quick bite of fried corn.

Once the corny smell is gone, the Fuego Takis create an overwhelming amount of heat, which fortunately subsides after a few seconds.

You can feel the chili on the way down, though. There's a noticeable tingling in your gut as the oil in the fried corn and chili mixes together.

For the just mentioned sourness of lime , not the strongest, it won't wrinkle your mouth like lime-flavored Tostitos. Fuego is Takis' flagship product, and it strikes the perfect balance between spiciness and flavor, and overall just the right amount of "stimulus."

All we have to say is, yes, these things taste great. But don't overlook their hearty crunch, like something coming out of a deep fryer.

These crunchiness also make them stand out, although there are also Taki-flavored Dinamitas from rival brand Doritos on the market.

But the biggest difference between Takis and Dinamita is their texture: Takis have thicker flakes and flaky layers, which make for a particularly satisfying crunch. Dinamita chips are slightly thinner and more likely to break rather than crunch.

All in all, Fuego is our favourite Takis, full of spiciness and crunch with the addition of lime. If you're shopping for any flavor of Takis, get this one.

It has a slightly smoky and sweet finish at the end and is more suitable for those who don't need the hot Takis flavors of Fuego and Blue Heat.
