Burberry is a British luxury fashion house headquartered in London, England. Established in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, originally focusing on the development of outdoor attire, the house has moved into the high fashion market, developing gabardine, and products made exclusively for the brand. It's also one of the most distinctive, thanks to its trademark check pattern that makes it instantly recognizable. The brand has defined elegance and class for decades, although its history goes back quite a bit further than most people know.

A Burberry retail store sells quality commodities, but at a standard retail price. That means shoppers can not get a lot of discounts, except if there is a mega sale or a special event. Here, customers will find just what they are searching for when they go shopping for Burberry products. On Burberry online offcial site, we can see Burberry items' prices: Clothing: $370 $11,500; Bags: $3650- $910; shoes $290 - $2150; accessories: $60- $4150; Scarves: $120- $4150; Fragrance: $45- $230; Outwear: $400-$6900; Baby' clothing: $65 - $1250; Girls' clothing: $140 $1650; Boys' clothing: $140-$1550.

Burberry has a sale in winter and one in late spring where some of the bags get marked down (along with other merchandise), the most I've ever seen in the sale is 30% off, but it is usually less for hand bags and purses.

Burberry Outlet items' Prices

There's no set discount across the board at the Burberry Outlet. An employee said that on average, you'll probably be seeing a discount anywhere from 30%-60% off depending on the item. From my research, that statement seems pretty accurate. I did notice one or two items that had an even deeper discount but mostly everything fell between 30%-60%.

If you hit the outlet at the right time, you can score deals maybe 60-75% off. On purses, I haven't seen anything larger than 30-35% off usually. They did have some bags from the boutique but it's like 40% off at most. A lot of the prices were still close to regular price IMO. Same goes for clothing and scarves. Unless you go for the simpler factory ones, it isn't that much cheaper.

Burberry Retail items' Quality

Luxury is a synonym for quality, for the best materials, the best craftsmanship, or the best shopping experience. Burberry offers all that, so you will pay more for it. Their products used to be very well-made and dependable. Their coats and jackets are of incredible quality, definitely worth the money, if you can afford it.

Burberry Outlet items' Quality

I asked a sales associate if everything at the Burberry Outlet was from their retail stores or if some of their items were made specifically for the outlets. Her response was that there are a few items made specifically for the outlet store but most of the inventory comes from their retail stores. She also said if you see an item online, they will probably have it at the Outlets about 6-8 months later.

There are numerous joys that come with outlet shopping: scoring finds from your favorite designers, discovering trends you missed last season, snagging wardrobe staples at a steep price cut. Most customers believe they are indeed finding gems, that what they're about to buy came from their favorite stores a few seasons ago but was either returned, overstocked, or simply not a best-seller.

In many cases, brand new merchandise made for outlets is also available. However, it's often of lower quality than similar items found in regular retail stores.
