The Turtle Beach Recon 70 are decent-budget wired headphones that have a visibly gamer-centric look.  They offer different colored versions for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PS4. The  Nintendo Switch model features a red-and-black color scheme. The Xbox model features green accents, and the PS4 model features blue accents. Other than the color scheme, all of the Recon 70 models are the same. The Turtle Beach Recon 70 connects via a standard 3.5mm audio jack, so you can use it with a console, PC, laptop, tablet, or phone – anything with a standard audio plug.

 While they feel cheaply made, their boom microphone offers good recording quality and they have a surprisingly well-balanced sound profile. They're also comfortable enough for long gaming sessions. They have virtually no latency thanks to their wired design. Unfortunately, they don’t have a companion app to allow for customization options, and can't isolate well against ambient noise. Although the Turtle Beach Recon 70 won’t wow with special features or a dazzling design, their decent sound profile, comfort fit, and great-sounding microphone make these a great option for console gamers on a budget.

HyperX makes all its gaming headsets work cross-platform and the HyperX Cloud Stinger is no different. Fortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case with the HypeX Cloud Stinger, Astro A10, and the Turtle Beach Recon 70.

But Turtle Beach Recon 70 vs. Astro A10 vs. HyperX Cloud Stinger: which is the best budget gaming headsets? In my opinion, the HyperX Cloud Stinger is the best choice for gamers. It costs only $34.99(save $15 now, was $49.99 ), the cheapest one of the three, but still offers solid comfort and enjoyable sound, even better than Turtle Beach Recon 70  and Astro A10.
