From the above, we know how popular 1Password is among Apple users. Although it has performed prominently on other platforms in recent years, 1Password still lags behind LastPass at the same price in terms of user experience, especially on non-Apple platforms.

LastPass is secure, feature rich, user friendly, and offers both free and premium tiers so you can choose the option that suits you best.
For years, LastPass was an easy first pick for a password manager, thanks to a robust free tier that met many people’s needs. But in early 2024, LastPass Free no longer syncs across all your devices, but instead only among your computers (meaning desktop and laptop) or among your mobile devices  (meaning phones and tablets)  — not both. Otherwise, it still has nearly as many features as the paid version, such as an automatic password changer, a password generator, unlimited passwords(with only 1 user), account recovery options, basic MFA, and password strength auditing.
That's more generous that what many other password managers' free tiers offer, but if you want a full-featured free password manager with few restrictions, try Bitwarden.
The free version of LastPass is superb, but premium versions are very reasonably priced and adds unlimited syncing among all devices, support for physical two-factor-authentication keys, 1GB of online file storage, dark-web monitoring of your accounts and access to premium tech support.  
LastPass is a browser-based password manager with extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Edge as well as Android, iOS, and Windows phone apps.
LastPass includes its own one-time code generator to support two-step verification on your outside accounts.
LastPass provides multiple recovery options, including SMS recovery, a master password hint, and a recovery one-time password. All of these options enable you to easily gain access to your LastPass vault if you forget your master password.
There are legacy desktop applications for Windows and Mac still available, with some limits. Meanwhile,  the local-network-only LastPass Pocket option for Windows and Linux has been discontinued, as has password filling for Windows applications.

Dashlane has been around since 2012. It is not much different from other password managers on our list, providing password storage, form and payment auto-filling, two-factor authentication, password generation, digital wallets, etc. Its most powerful feature is its batch password changer, you can use it to reset hundreds of passwords at once.

DashLane also announced in January 2024 that it will phase out its desktop applications sometime in the coming year and require all users to transition to browser extensions in a timely manner. DashLane is even equipped with a scanner to find online accounts that you may have forgotten through your email inbox. This password manager is easy to use and well-designed, making it ideal for filling in your data on online forms.

Dashlane has also been rated as an editor-recommended app in the App Store and the best app in the Google Play store. Dashlane is the most expensive option on the list, but it offers a free plan and a 30-day money-back guarantee. In the long run, the free plan may not be feasible because it only allows storage of up to 50 passwords and can only be used on one device.

The new Essentials plan, designed to bridge the gap between free and paid options, limits you to 2 devices, which is not a winner because it costs the same as unlimited plans for 1Password, Keeper, and LastPass. On the positive side, the DashLane premium plan has unlimited VPN services and dark web monitoring capabilities. Therefore, this non-password management function can justify the expensive cost. The VPN service provides additional security for users when connecting to public WiFi.

Like the other platforms listed here, it will also automatically save your username and password for each site in your Mac or Windows product. It also provides deeper security than other password managers, offers 256-bit AES encryption and PBKDF2 encryption, and provides quality services at a lower cost than competitors LastPass and Dashlane.

Keeper Security does not have a free plan and offers three payment options: individual, team, and enterprise. Billing starts at $2.50/month per year (yes, it offers free trials of its premium products, but only for 14 days). But this free trial version of the best password manager provides all the features.

Keeper is very focused on enhancing security, so they are not keen on generating PINs for access because hackers can guess PINs in many ways. Therefore, if you are still using an old smartphone that cannot read your face or fingerprint, you may need to enter the full master password. However, Keeper provides a fast login mode that can save you some time. It also has several options for batch password changes. Keeper also has a sharing feature, where you can share folders or passwords with other people in your team. Similar to the built-in WhatsApp or Messenger, the "Keeper Chat" function allows you to chat with all users in the group in real time.
