Chanel 58 Rouge Vie is described as a muted, medium-dark reddened plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. It's not a vibrant, bright red,  it is more of a subdued  deep red lipstick with a matte, luminous finish for incredible radiance. It features a comfortable, sensorial, velvet-soft texture.

It has excellent pigmentation effect and has smooth and even coverage. The texture is slightly creamy, velvety and soft and comfortable to wear. This shade of red is really sophisticated and chic. It can be worn by more mature ladies as well as younger women.  The colour lasts for about 5-6 hours on me before I have to reapply.

The undertones will vary depending on your skintone and natural lip color, and will be more evident if you sheer it out. When applied lightly it appears more of a strong deep pink colour. It looks amazing either way. Compliments pale skin beautifully. 

The texture is both pretty and comfortable. It's a velvety matte, not 100% matte, but also not creamy. It's not very drying for this type of verypigmented formula. Lasts for 4 hours before I have to re-apply, and I only have to dab the slightest amount on.
