Worlds of Fun

Worlds of Fun Rides & Roller Coasters List

The theme park features more than 40 rides for all ages, including seven world-class roller coasters and several thrilling rides.

Patriot is the longest, tallest, fastest inverted roller coaster in the region. It hits a top speed of 60 miles per hour at the bottom of its 123-foot first drop and packs four inversions into its circuit. This includes a vertical loop, a zero-g roll, an Immelmann loop, and a wingover.

Prowler is one of a new breed of wooden coasters that have been installed at US theme parks in recent years. It descends an 85-foot drop into a ravine to then tear through the forested terrain at Worlds of Fun. Two 12-car trains make the rounds on more 3,000 feet of wood-layered roller coaster track at speeds of up to 51 miles-per-hour.

Mamba is classified as a "hypercoaster", meaning a roller coaster that incorporates large drops, high-speeds, lots of air-time, but no inversions. It boasts a lengthy 5,600-foot circuit. Its towering first drop stands at 205-feet-tall, with riders hitting a maximum speed of 75 miles per hour at the bottom. The remainder of the circuit features several "airtime" hills and a large helix.

Boomerang is a 12-story tall steel roller coaster that rockets riders – forward and backward – through a disorienting trip of corkscrew turns and upside-down loops. In just under two minutes, this roller coaster flips riders upside down a total of six times.

Spinning Dragons is a gerstlauer spinning coaster with four-passenger cars that spin like a top as they zigzag through five stories worth of hairpin turns and camelback hills. Riders sit in two rows of two that face each other in small cars, which spin as they race around a twisting, turning circuit.

Zulu is a high speed circular ride that raises to a 90-degree angle and turns guests upside-down before returning to ground level.

Detonator was the first S&S Space Shot ride to open in the US. It features dual towers, both of which launch guests into the skies at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour.

Falcon’s Flight is Worlds of Fun’s newest thrill taking to the sky in 2017! This unique ride has 28 two-seater gondolas, 6 on each arm, which spin while the base of the ride raises riders 100 feet above the ground!

SteelHawk is a two-seater Windseeker (waveswinger) ride, mounted on a 301-foot tower that spins guests at a 45-degree angle for a 60-second flight. Riders reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour but still have time to take in panoramic views of Worlds of Fun and beyond.

For those seeking a less intense ride and for younger children, Planet Snoopy is the place to go. Besides having the whole Peanuts Gang running about, there are 21 themed rides for the kids.

Peanuts 500 is a flat ride. Kids can finally pilot their own race cars on this journey through the lightly landscaped lands of Planet Snoopy.

Woodstock Whirlybirds is a "tea cup"-style flat ride aimed at families. The bird's nest-themed vehicles rotate around on a central platform, with guests able to spin their own nest faster using a wheel in its centre.

Cosmic Coaster is a children's roller coaster for the thrill-seeker in training. Riders board a rocket that travels 440 feet through space reaching a height of 15 feet.

Kite Eating Tree is a small "frog hopper"-style drop tower aimed at very young children, the Kite Eating Tree carries kids to the top of a small tower, before bouncing them back to the ground below.

During the summer months make your way to Oceans of Fun, the Midwest's Largest waterpark is included with park admission for a refreshing dip in one of the themed pools, or a ride on one of the various water slides. (open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day).
