25 Most Refreshing Non-Alcoholic Drinks to Enjoy This Summer 2024!

25 Most Refreshing Non-Alcoholic Drinks to Enjoy This Summer 2024!

The nonalcoholic drink space has been growing in recent years, with everything from Dry January to a fast-tracked development of mocktails. While some people are cutting out booze all together, many are opting for a NA beverage over alcoholic across occasions and adopting NA as part of their weekly full strength alcohol consumption repertoire. With so many Non-Alcoholic choices out in the market place it can be a bit confusing on which ones are the better made versions. We've found the 25 best alcohol-free products in the world. WHETHER YOU’RE LOOKING for a night or two off negronis, a month to flush your system after heavy holiday celebrating, or plan to swear off the sauce forever, it’s never been easier—or more trendy—to give dry a try thanks to a quickly growing and improving selection of non-alcoholic spirits, beer, wine, and pre-made mocktails.

Non-alcoholic drinks are becoming more and more popular!

The world of alcohol-free drinks has come on leaps and bounds in the past few years. With lots of younger drinkers opting for a more mindful approach to what they're sipping on, there's been an influx of amazing new alcohol-free beers, wines, spirits and funky alternatives.

While some are no doubt turning to low/no alcohol options to support a sober lifestyle, others are motivated by health reasons and a desire to simply reduce rather than eliminate their alcohol consumption.

Consumers today want more choices when it comes to beverages. They are conscious of drinking "better not more" and balancing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. According to Google Trends, searches for "benefits of quitting drinking" have increased by 70% in the last five years and globally consumers explicitly mention "non-alcoholic" 81% more often than they did one year ago. And, with the biggest trend in cocktails being non-alcoholic drinks according to Forbes, the tide is clearly shifting, leaving a blank space to fill in the American market for a healthier, cleaner, premium alternative drink option.

Who is best suited for non-alcoholic drinks?

The first one is millennials – they’re making much better life choices. Alcohol for them isn’t hedonism and excess, it’s indulgence and enjoyment.

Alcohol consumption is reducing, with millennials drinking 20 per cent less than their parents at the same age, and consumers are making healthier choices across a number of indulgent food and beverage categories without having to compromise on taste and social experiences.

Then we’ve got women who are pregnant. I’m of the age where everyone is having kids or has had kids, and when I explain this range to them they have two questions – what does it taste like and when can I buy it?

For them, there’s a lot of ritual around that evening drink when you go home, wind down and pour yourself a G&T, Bourbon and coke or whatever it is that is your choice.

And that’s a really important moment when a couple will bond, share a drink, share stories of their day and move on. But a lot of people are now saying ‘I don’t actually want to drink during the week’ or ‘I want those alcohol-free days’, and this is giving them a real alternative.

They can still enjoy that flavour and enjoy that occasion, that pageantry and theatre around it, but without the alcohol.

They will attract is those who are partaking in a period of abstinence, either for events like Dry July or as part of an overall fitness program.

One of the things that people are loving when we describe the range to them is ‘I can still take on those challenges and transform my body, but I don’t need to sacrifice this part of my life, which is really important for me in terms of decompression and social glue’.

Then we have the boomer population. For that particular generation there is a real importance in ducking down to the pub or other social events like bridge club. So it’s really important that we can continue to offer them the beverages that they’ve grown to love over the course of a lifetime and that they find synonymous with letting go and social indulgence and connecting with other humans. We can continue to offer that to them, albeit without alcohol included.

#. The Best Non-Alcoholic Beers

#. Athletic Brewing Co. Free Wave Hazy Non-Alcoholic IPA

We couldn't be happier to know that Athletic Brewing Company, America's leading non-alcoholic beer brand, has added Free Wave Hazy IPA to its year-round flagship beer collection.

Free Wave was previously a limited one-off beer, and soon after its launch became one of the best-selling flagship products, selling out within a minute on AthleticBrewing.com.

Now we can easily buy it. Free Wave Hazy IPA is available in 30 + states via major distributors such as Columbia, Sheehan Family Co’s, Cavalier, Night Shift Distributing, Ben E. Keith, Star Distributing, Crescent Crown, and National Retailers such as Whole Foods, Total Wine, Bevmo and Krogers.

Free Wave Hazy IPA is a medium-bodied IPA, aggressively hopped with Amarillo and Chinook hops.

Free Wave has just 70 calories and features a softer and simpler cloudy wheat body that showcases the hops.

Drinkers will experience notes of orange blossoms, orange, citrus, and wheat.

The hops are gripping and aggressive.

It tasted pretty close to a normal IPA, which impressed me.

#. RationAle West Coast IPA

RationAle Brewing offers an innovative variety of non-alcoholic craft beers for those seeking to embrace moderation while drinking consciously and living boldly.

All of RationAle’s flavor-forward brews are served in 16oz. cans, made with high-quality ingredients and in small batches, mimicking the bold, refreshing taste of traditional craft beer.

Today, RationAle features four styles of non-alcoholic beer. For instance, a Citrus Hazy IPA, Mexican Lager, West Coast IPA, and New England Hazy IPA.

While each brims with flavor, a smooth mouthfeel, and a crisp finish, we particularly enjoyed the West Coast IPA.

It has the nose of a West coast IPA, it has the dankness of a West Coast IPA, and it has the hop structure and finish of a piney.

Getting those predominant bright, bold notes characterized by a West Coast style can be difficult in a non-alcoholic beer, but RationAle just nails it.

RationAle’s West Coast IPA are available via eCommerce and retail and on-premise partners, including Seaside Market, Mother’s Market, MRKT SPACE, Mollie Stones, Lassens, Market of Choice and Brewsters Beer Garden.

#. Two Roads Non-Alcoholic Juicy IPA

RationAle West Coast IPA (Non-alcoholic 6 pack) – Pink Dot

Two Roads has developed a 70-calorie, non-alcoholic liquid that lives up to its reputation for high quality, great-tasting brews over the last decade.

They have a flavorful, authentic tasting Juicy IPA that is non-alcoholic, but drinks like any of the other traditional Juicy IPA products.

Moderate carbonation, low body, and a dry finish make this a quite drinkable and refreshing replacement for a hazy pale ale.

Building off the success and momentum of their initial ‘Juicy IPA’ non-alcoholic offering, Two Roads is releasing a second beer in their new NA portfolio – a Non-Alc American IPA. According to the brand, this version is meant to appeal to the more “traditional” IPA drinker.

While the Non-Alc Juicy IPA features fruity, newer hop varieties, the Non-Alc American IPA uses classic C-hop varieties for a more piney, resinous character. The drinking experience for both is decidedly different, but both versions are true to style and most importantly – actually taste like beer!

Similarly to Parallel - the first release in Southern Grist’s non-alcoholic beer series, this beer meets every expectation you’d have for a beer in this style, just without the alcohol content.

#. Partake Dark

Partake Dark

Dark/Stout · Craft Non-Alcoholic Beer · Free Shipping | Partake Brewing

Partake was founded in 2017 by Ted Fleming, a former engineer on a mission to take the stigma out of drinking non-alcoholic beer.

After a Crohn's diagnosis led him to give up alcohol, he experienced a category traditionally low on selection and taste, and choosing an NA brew only invited judgment in most social settings.

This ultimately inspired him to brew his own, giving consumers a variety of great-tasting, low calorie, non-alcoholic beers suitable for any occasion or location.

Consumers consistently seek out Partake for its exceptional taste, unmatched calorie count (10-30 calories per can), vegan all-natural ingredients and brewing process. Partake currently offers PALE, IPA, BLONDE, RED, DARK (U.S.), STOUT (Canada), PEACH GOSE and limited seasonal editions including RADLER, LIME as well as the newly released HAZY IPA.

As a recipient of numerous international awards for high-quality product and innovation, including a Gold Medal at the World Beer Awards for Best Non-Alcoholic Beer, Partake is a leader in the North American non-alcoholic craft beer industry.

IPA  balances the citrusy hops with a sweet malt backbone. Its light and bubbly body and dry finish make it an all-day sipper that packs a lot more flavour than most non-alcoholic beers on the market.

#. The Best Non-Alcoholic Spirits

#. Seedlip Grove 42

Seedlip Grove 42

Seedlip Grove 42 Non-Alcoholic Spirit | Total Wine & More

Everyone in the non-alcoholic space knows about Seedlip - dubbed the world's first, distilled non-alcoholic spirit.

Seedlip not only tastes fantastic, but with-it being alcohol free you can maximise your weekends.

The product debuted at UK department store Selfridges in late 2015. And the first 1,000 bottles sold out in just three weeks.

Seedlip has now sold 2 million bottles of its three spirits, Seedlip Spice 94, Seedlip Garden 108 & newest Seedlip Grove 42, which are made in a similar way to gin.

Seedlip’s seductive product positioning has been its core genius. The 3 current products elegantly bridge the gap between a conventional soft drink, and “grown-up” drinks like wine or whisky. It’s a kind-of-gin-without-the-gin option, appealing to people who like gin, but can’t drink because they are driving, or are in the growing ranks of the sober curious.

You don’t even need to like gin to like Seedlip, although a taste for tonic water is essential. Don’t drink it on it’s own. No. The novelty makes for good ice-breaker-conversation at corporate events, no doubt, and it works well as a placebo for those experimenting with Dry January.

For the growing number of tee-totallers, it’s a new way to drink at events, at bars or at home, and feel completely at ease about it. Classy, and sophisticated even. Definitely grown-up.

They are available in thousands of stores, bars, restaurants and hotels around the world. The company has also invented its own mocktails and released a book of recipes.

Sunshine in a glass, Grove 42 pairs perfectly with Soda & an Orange twist.

It marks an important focus on both the fascinating world of the Citrus genus as well as soda as a signature mixer allowing Grove to truly shine in a completely sugar and alcohol-free cocktail.

#. Seedlip Spice 94

Seedlip Spice 94

Two other products from Seedlip are also worth trying, Spice 94 and Garden 108, which contains a variety of botanical ingredients, such as thyme, rosemary, orange peel, hay and oak.

Similar to juniper in gin or grain in whiskey, each features a dominant ingredient — all-spice berries for Spice 94 former and hand-picked peas from Branson’s garden for Garden 108.

The final product is a sugar-free, zero-calorie distilled beverage that’s intended to be used exclusively as a mixer with tonics and other non-alcoholic drinks.

Whilst they haven’t deliberately attempted to mimic alcohol, the complex flavor profiles do mean people get an adult drink that isn’t lacking — but without the ‘kick’ you get with an alcoholic spirit.

Seedlip is free of sweeteners.

Unlike Seedlip, which is a gin-style product, Lyre’s has the wider range.

They can cover pretty much the entirety of the top 10 cocktails by demand, that’s from the Old Fashioned down to the classic Martini, Daiquiris, Espresso Martini, Manhattans – which are enormous in the US – even Sazeracs with their absinthe.

Named after the lyrebird, an Australian breed known for its ability to mimic any sound, the Lyre’s range offers impersonations of gin, bourbon, rum, vermouth, and more.

Drawing from over 12,500 extracts, all-natural essences, and distillates, each product serves as a building block to recreate classic cocktails in an alcohol-free manner.

The American Malt, for instance, is modeled after bourbon, and includes notes of honey, spice, vanilla, oak and toasted nuts, with a hint of herbal complexity. Mix it with cola or use it as the base spirit in an Old-Fashioned, and you’ll get an approximation of the real thing, sans alcohol.

In addition to individual bottles, the company also sells combo packs to help you make your favorite cocktails. #. Spiritless Kentucky 74

Spiritless Kentucky 74

Spiritless Kentucky 74 Non-Alcoholic Bourbon | Total Wine & More

Spiritless, the Louisville-based, female-led nonalcoholic drink company, was founded in 2019 by three innovate entrepreneurs.

Named for Spiritless being the 74th distillery in the state, Kentucky 74 is made with a grain-neutral spirit and select chars of oak for an extraction process to pull the oak flavors into the spirit.

What results is an extremely high-proof and intensely flavored spirit that is then reverse distilled to evaporate all but 0.5% of the alcohol.

The drink remaining retains the flavors from the oak extraction process and is pH-adjusted for shelf-stability before being bottled.

Because it’s made with grain-neutral spirits, Kentucky 74 can be made consistent with every batch, and the negligible alcohol content leaves it at the same ABV as kombucha.

Kentucky 74 is described as having a smooth finish, underpinned by familiar notes of caramel, vanilla and oak.

The end product is a smooth, spirit like liquid with all the depth of bourbon, just minus the alcohol.

With Spiritless’ products, people out at dinners, cocktail parties or events can switch to Kentucky 74 or cut their drinks’ alcohol level in half with it, allowing them to continue to drink with fewer consequences.
