1.Coverage

Mint Mobile uses T-Mobile’s network to provide coverage. So when we talk about Mint Mobile coverage, we’re really talking about T-Mobile’s network coverage. That means the two companies offer virtually the same coverage. That’s good news for customers of both companies because T-Mobile’s coverage is pretty great (especially since the company absorbed Sprint).

Verizon’s coverage has the most coverage in the country. But T-Mobile's (whose network Mint uses) is not bad at all, especially since the company absorbed Sprint. If you live in an urban area, either carrier should cover you just fine.

But for those who live in more rural places, the quality of your coverage may depend entirely on which network has a better presence in the area.

2.Plans and Pricing

Mint’s plans are all pre-paid (T-Mobile and Verizon offers some of those too). This means that you pay for a certain amount of Data per month beforehand, whereas T-Mobile and Verizon customers are usually billed at the end of the month. Mint’s plans to be nice and flexible but T-Mobile and Verizon have the win on fully featured plans.Besides,Mint mobile has no family plan.

T-Mobile offers more variety than Mint. There’s a talk and text only plan with no data. There are several limited-data options. And there are also three different unlimited data plans that offer different perks and data caps.

If you want the best of the best, T-Mobile’s Magenta plus gives you unlimited top-quality video streaming, 20 GB of mobile hotspot data, free Netflix, and plenty of other special features.The price is almost three times the cost of Mint’s unlimited data plan.That’s a lot of extra dough to pay for increased performance and a few perks. 

Verizon

Verizon offers a ton of industry-leading unlimited 5G data plans,all of which include a nice set of perks, multi-line discounts and can be mixed and matched for better savings.They are great if you're looking for a plan that'll keep up with your streaming habits, and you have a little more cash to spend. $70 per month for a single-line user, Verizon plans are best value when bought with multiple lines on a single plan.

Family plans

Family plans make it much easier to manage multiple lines for you, your spouse, and your kids. Plus, you can usually nab a big discount when you add your third, fourth, and even fifth line.Unfortunately, Mint Mobile doesn’t actually offer any deals or discounts on multi-line plans. But T-Mobile and Verizon do.

Prepaid plans require you to pay your bill at the beginning of each month.The advantage of these plans is that they don't require a credit check and tend to be cheaper.

Mint Mobile only offers prepaid plans. The T-Mobile and Verizon plans we previewed above are all postpaid, which means that you can pay your bill at the end of the month. However,T-Mobile and Verizon also have a few prepaid plans on offer. Here's a look at those.
